Edit: Excuse me while I do a site revamp. This process may take a couple of days.
I have reached a state of utter disgust. This world has completely crumbled and of course, this has been occurring since the beginning of time. It makes me wonder if things are how they were created to be or did we, as human beings, turn this world upside down. There’s only one word to describe it, chaos. I think this word is fitting to most things in the world if not limited to everything else. Some of the many questions that I have formulated have been those of which, there aren’t obvious or clear answers to. One thing is for certain, there isn’t always an explanation or solution for everything. With this knowledge, I have come to the conclusion that most things in life are spontaneous depending on our decisions and actions. I truly believe that there is only one destination, fate. Just as there are roads to places we choose to go in this world, there are roads in our lives that lead us to our fates. What road we will take is up to us. Our decisions and actions ultimately determine what path we have chosen to reach our fates. As I believe in many things, there are many roads. I have walked quite a few and detoured onto others but I believe that my fate shall remain the same. Could it be that “purpose” in which most speak of in life is just another word that can be replaced with fate? I believe it is, whether anyone else chooses to agree with me or not. Although I believe that most things in life are spontaneous, the rest can be said to be concocted by fate. Some things in life are just too well drawn out to be written off as strictly coincidental. Some things fall into place in ways that we cannot and never will understand.
This world has been formed from nothing into the unbelievably wonderful world of technology that it is today. We have created this. We have come a long way, but has technology brought us to a state where we are no longer in control of our actions? Thinking back to olden times, almost everything was carefully planned out. Life appeared to be much easier with agendas. Of course, it proved to be quite boring and led to the unhappiness of many individuals who felt that they weren’t in control of their lives. What we sought was our own free will that God gave to us. Over time, this has been completely taken advantage of. Just because one has the right to decide what he/she wants to do with his/her life doesn’t mean that it is always the right thing to do. Then the big question arises. How do we determine what’s right and what’s wrong? Although free will exists, this world is still pretty much structured but chaos continues on because being structured just doesn’t fit well with what we desire individually. I am curious as to what this world will consist of years from now.
We all have the advantage of making choices in our lives. Sometimes, some things aren’t in our control. But the events proceeding before those certain points ultimately determined where we would be and what we would be doing at that point in time. For every event that occurs, something changes in our future. I am a complete believer in fate and purpose. This belief has given me the strength and the courage that I possess today. Many things have occurred in my life that I have survived and shared with numerous people, whom were actually quite surprised of my existence. Surely, I don’t believe in luck. Luck has nothing to do with anything at all. Some people can’t live with the fact that life is a struggle, period. If everything were handed down to us on silver platters, how much fun would that be? Life wouldn’t be full of excitement and suspense. Everything would be completely bland and we wouldn’t really have purposes. To totally ignore the fact that there are important things waiting for us in life would be foolish. The world is what we made it to be, chaotic, and it’s something that we must live with and take responsibility for. No matter the state of the world, our fates remain the same. Now we must take a walk through life’s debris.

A great read Shannon. Lately I have been doing nothing but thinking of the world we are living in today. A good point about how far we have come with technology… however sometimes I wonder if we have taken it Too far.
If only we choose to take responsibility for our actions and acknowledge things rather then ignore them, would things have been different? We will never know…

if everything was handed to us on a silver platter, how would we learn? learn about life, about people, about ourselves? we learn from our mistakes and that’s how we grow and make the “right” decisions in the future. i believe in fate also, and that there are many roads we can take to get there as individuals. although i do doubt that any of us takes the completely right road though.

Well written. In response to the ‘roads’ you’ve mentioned, I think we can all take several, try another when we feel is necessary, but what ever is at the end of that road was supposed to happen, no matter which you take. In fact, the things put in front of you is just due to the road you’ve taken. Like, what I’m saying is what ever is meant to be will happen, but how you get there is totally up to you.
I think technology has a lot to do with it. Doing things manually required much more time, and now that innovation has taken it’s toll, we, yes I mean ALL of us, have become lazy to the point where a lot of things that are important are now overlooked because we feel with such technology, everything is taken care of.
False.
Things that are significant will always require as much effort, it’s totally up to one person if they’re willing to put much time into their actions to get the result they really desire.

My grandmother keeps saying the world is coming to an end (she’s been saying that for years though) but I’m starting to believe her with all that’s been going on lately. First Rick Ross is a fake, then Lisa Raye is being played by a 106 & Park hussy….WHAT NEXT??!!

This was like reading something out of a book. Your blogs are always perfectly structured. But on the other hand, I agree. What makes it so scary is because it’s actually TRUE.

I agree, it is quite scary that it is true.
Thank you for your concern, and now everything is fixed! :)

We are here for a different purpose, a different fate. God gave us our lives to affect change in the world, to contribute. I also believe that the roads or the decisions we make take us to our fate but nevertheless, I think that what we will be is already planned, already waiting for us.
Although technological advancements are really a big plus to us humans, I know that in a way we are harming the place we live in. While defying the limits, we contribute to the deterioration of what God gave to us. I believe that these advancements have merits and demerits.

I agree that everything happens by fate and purpose. Everything happens for a reason in life and I definitely wouldn’t want to go through life getting everything I want. It doesn’t help you build any character and you are right it definitely will be a dull life if everything in LaLaLand was simply Peachiekeen! I’d just want to color my face in if I lived in Pleasantville. The struggle makes you have a better story for when you get older.

Amen sister. I love reading your blogs btw. And you are exactly right girl. We do have a choice in this world - what will say, what we do, and everytihing.
I totally agree with the people above. Are you religious btw? You seem like, I know people are more spiritual than religious, but I am religious and I believe in God and the Bible. My family are Christians and everything, but the way you speak, you seem more religious.
It’s scary that all these things are going on in this world. People wouldnt even imagine, but they are happening and from what I see, according to my preacher, mother, and all the Holy people, the world is coming to an end. I hate talking about it, but I see it.

Well, that was deep.
I believe in fate…I also believe that we have choices to make that lead us to that fate…so really in a way it’s not fate because we chose it. But something like meeting someone by chance and you wind up marrying them…I’d call that fate that wasn’t really a choice. :)

I believe that everything happens for a reason. In the bible is said that times would get worse and it would be “sign of the times” when Jesus comes from a Christian’s point of view it is only going to get worse and through the bible we know that the world will eventually be so harsh that Jesus would come and get his church. I just pray that God has mercy on all the souls reaking havoc. Also the realm between the spirit world is thinning and I believe that many people who commit the horrific crimes we hear about in the news have demons in their soul and could possibly be obsessed. The world doesnt shock me because it was foresaught in the bible but it just makes me shake my head.

I’m a firm believer in fate, too. The direction our world seems to be going in is a bit scary. I think man has done a lot of great things, but at the same time people seem to be more worried about winning or outdoing others than making sure that things are going in the right direction. I never really paid attention to the news, politics, and the future until my son was born. I;d be lying if I said I wasn’t concerned with how he is going to earn a living, raise a family of his own, and live in general when he grows up. It’s a scary thought.
