I remember some years ago I heard the story of a boy who was terribly tortured and later died from this abuse. It wasn’t until today when I watched the Steve Wilkos show, that I actually read up on details of what happened.
On August 14, 1987, police found the badly beaten and tortured body of 4 year old Lattie McGee. He had been tortured and hung upside down in a closet, in which he died during the night from trauma to the head. According to Cornelius Abraham, Lattie’s older brother, their mother, Alicia Abraham, and her boyfriend, Johnny Campbell, had been torturing the child for some time. Campbell didn’t like Lattie’s “effeminate” voice so he thought he was toughening him up by beating him, burning him with cigarettes, poking him with needles, and dipping the child in scolding hot water. What’s more is the child was badly malnourished and weighed 26 lbs. Cornelius Abraham experienced some of the abuse and lived to testify against his mother and her boyfriend in court. While Steve Wilkos was interviewing her I was more than disgusted. She seemed to not even care about the fact that her child had been murdered. Steve asked her why she allowed the abuse to happen. Her response astonished me. She told Steve that she “didn’t know” the abuse was going on. What type of shit is that? I was so disgusted that it made my stomach turn. How don’t you know your child is being starved, burned and beaten? It hurt my heart to hear this story because as a mother I couldn’t see anything like this happening to my son.

This is evil, however I am not too surprised by this story. It seems every where i turn I hear something like this. To make matters worse, A couple years ago, in the local area. A father and his wife murdered his little girl, remove her limbs and discard them in different places… It took police months to find the whole body parts. Disgusting I know but I had to share how crazy the world we are living in today. With stories like this it angers me the fact that people who have no business being parents are being blessed with the gift of a child.

That poor child. Like…oh em gee. I read the rest of the article. How could someone do that to their kids. She did it to both her 4 year old and her 6 year old. Sad that one had to die. I got even more six when they wrote that when they lift his shirt up, pieces of his flesh were gone. That’s sick. Seriously…give your child up if you don’t care to have them. I’m sure there is alot of familys out there willing to adopt. He’s such a beautiful child.

This story is so disgusting… again, I say that some people just shouldn’t be parents. How can you pick an outsider over your own flesh and blood? How can you view one life as insignificant?? If she had such insufficient emotions and feelings for her child, she should have just got an abortion instead of putting her child through hell. I cannot possibly imagine all those cries going unnoticed…
