Hello, my name is Shannon Lolita and I’m very pleased to meet you. I’m a 24 year old Jamaican and Italian Editor and proud parent of a 3 year old boy. I reside in Philadelphia, PA with my son, my two sisters and my niece. I’m not what you would consider the average female. Sure, you’ve probably heard that a lot but I don’t mean in a general sense. I was born into a single parent family and my mother did the best she could to instill responsibility in my sisters and I. I was always the serious one, though. I’ve always been mature and therefore the older I got the older I felt. I’m a pretty down to earth, caring and silly person. Although I’ve been through some tough things in my life, I still manage to find things to laugh about during the day. After all, life is too short. I’m a very kind person and a lot of times people try to take advantage of that, but are completely unaware of the vicious side of my personality. I don’t take crap from anyone but I’m still a nice person in the process unless I’m provoked to be rude or difficult. I’m a very good listener and I enjoy helping people with their problems, which could probably contribute to the everlasting amounts of calls and such that I receive when people are in need, which is okay with me, sometimes. For some time of my life I was a tomboy, and I still possess many tomboyish ways. I’m an avid Feminist and I believe that women are responsible for maintaining the peace and sanity of our world.
I’m a pretty simple person when it comes to life. I don’t really enjoy anything that can add any difficulties to anything that I may already have going on. Let’s face it, life is full of struggles and surprises so I try to keep it to a minimum. As you can see, I enjoy web designing/developing. It became a hobby after my mother passed, which was a rough time for me. I indulged in digital art and soon it became more than a hobby. I also enjoy writing poetry, reading, playing video games, playing basketball, watching movies, surfing the web, chatting with friends and sharing my personal opinions on life. I’m not really into the whole club scene/going out thing. I would much rather make my own popcorn and curl up in front of the television to watch a good movie. Poetry is a second love to me. I enjoy expressing myself in an artistic form, if that makes any sense.
