Wacky.

I’ve been complaining about this wacky weather for months now and it seems to be getting worse. One day it’s really warm, the next day it’s cold as hell. Quite frankly, it’s beginning to piss me off because my son keeps getting sick. This past weekend he was terribly sick. He had a really bad asthma attack and a cold. It’s beginning to subside, though. I believe he’ll be fine once the weather begins to normalize, if that’ll ever happen, but whatever. I guess it’s back to work for me tomorrow, which I don’t mind, it’s quite relaxing there. Except around the time when children get out of school, I can hear them outside yelling and screaming. It reminds me of when I was younger. I miss those days, now that I think about it. Everything was much easier and life seemed much more serene. I used to wish that I was an adult, just so I could do the things that I wasn’t allowed to do as a child. Now that I’m actually an adult now, I wish I were still a child. Ironic isn’t it? That’s why I always tell children and teenagers that they shouldn’t attempt to grow up so fast because when they do, they’ll only wish they were young again. Speaking of which, there are some really bad ass kids these days. Makes you wish you could open a bootcamp and throw them all in there. I’ve seen kids talking back to their mothers, being disrespectful to other grown ups and just being out of control. I remember some years back I was with a friend of mine and he had his nephew with him. The kid was like 4 years old. We went to their house and their grandfather was sitting in the living room. The kid begins to run through the house. His grandpa says, “Fuji, don’t you come in here running around making all of that noise.” The kid says, “Shut the fuck up grandpa!!!” His grandfather didn’t say a word. Um, yea, if that were my grandchild he would have seriously gotten disciplined, and all of you parents out here know what I mean. I guess that’s a result of bad parenting.

It’s like that in Florida too. The winters are like this: warm for a week then cold like (50 degrees) for about 2 days then it warms up again. Right now me and my significant other has bronchitis The other day I couldn’t even breathe because of it. It felt like I was being suffocated. I’ll be glad when the weather normalizes too.

I know what you mean when it comes to children being out of control. The kids in my complex curse and fight all the time. That’s why I’m glad I have 3 sons. They can play with each other and I don’t have to worry about them playing with these other kids and picking up the bad habits they parents have allowed them to pick up. My kids aren’t allowed to play with any of the kids that live around here.

Weather in FLA has been bizarre! Super cold to the point where snow is possible and hotter than a muther-fudgemer!

My little brother has been getting sick a great deal too and it’s annoying me as well |=[

I hope things turn out a.o.k with your son =]

My little brother was out playing with some stupid little girl who used sexual terminology, I was shocked shxtless. I refuse to let him with her or her siblings anymore =/

this weather really is insane. last week when it was like 65 here, i saw people in shorts and flip flops. of course it’s the middle of january! and then it got cold and people in the office were sick again b/c they get fooled by the temperature and act like it’s april. but it is ironic that when we’re kids we want to grow up and now that we’re grown up we want to be young again. but if that was me that said that to my grandpa i would’ve gotten an ass whooping.

We have also been having odd weather here in Columbus GA. This afternoon it was very warm and tonight it is very cold out. I just wish it would just stay cold or warm.

Aww, I hope your son gets better! Those asthma attacks are such a drag — when the weather subsides I hope it helps.

I totally remember wanting to be older when I was younger.. it’s true! I really wish I didn’t grow up so fast, sigh~ :faint:

Philly weather is definitely sucking major ass. Like it was stll 70+ degrees in frickin OCTOBER close to NOVEMBER!!!! I’m wearing capris and short sleeves to work when I SHOULDA be wearing a damn jacket or something!! smh. A lot of ppl i know with asthma have been getting really sick too lately. Dunno what’s goin on.

These kids today need more than a boot camp. They need ass-whup’ns too!! The younger, the better. Teach ‘em some discipline EARLY.

Bad ass kids make me not want to have kids, at least not in the city. Not because I think I won’t know how to parent, but yet because other people don’t know how to parent and I don’t want my children to be around these bad ass kids [i.e.- daycare, school]. I’m not a parent but I know that children are easily influenced and peer pressure doesn’t make it easier for them not to be. I don’t wanna be one of those mothers on the news crying cus my baby got killed and asking myself “why?… what went wrong?…I was good mother.” Philly is tooooooo crazy right now. And I’m quite sure you know what i mean.

kids these days can be so disrespectful! i understand there’s a lot of presure and all, but i also believe a lot of parents have no clue.

anyway i also would love to be a child again *LOL* although as a child i wanted to be a grown up of course. i guess it works that way… ;) but i definitely treasure my childhood memories… :D

The weather is the same here. It was in the 50’s the other day and then boom, outta no where, snow. My son also is getting sick and wheezing like hell (he breaths outta a neubulizer).

And man, if my son ever said something like that to his grandpa / grandma, he would have been disciplined right on the spot. That is just outrageous and RIDICULOUS.

  11. Brittany Says:

Lol @Sheena. She is right though. Some kids do need some “tough love”. Its mostly because kids these days are spoiled as hell and basically run the household. And most parents are spineless punks, who baby their children and spoil their brats. They will regret it when that kids gets older though.

The weather here has been like that also. Its crazy. Last week it was like 70 dregrees! Now, we are back to the 30s and 40s. WTF!

A 4 year old said that?! That would never fly at my house. wow. I can’t really say I’m suprised though. Parents no longer punish their children for behaving badly…they let them just run around and do whatever. :/ When I have kids they will listen or be punished.
The weather has been fairly odd here lately too. A week or so ago it was warm enough to wear short sleeves..now its freezing. Grrr. It’s making me sick, literly. I hope your son gets better soon. My brother has asthma, I know how scary it can be.
Love your layout by the way!

depresses me so much, because now a days, parents are scared of their children. thats just so sad!

IM SO SORRY, about the weather! that totally sucks.

I agree with you… parents nowadays thinks its the teacher’s job to teach their kids both education and behavior. Parents often leaves kids to the tv as a baby sitter, and therefore the kid isn’t raised up with proper manners, or values. I’m scared to bring a child into this world but because my parents taught me good values, i don’t think i would have too much problems with that…

Ah, your weather sounds like mine!! Yet mine is more drastic… one day, it’ll be snowing and -20 degrees, then the next day, the sun hits the snow and literally melt away yesterday’s litter, and then goes to be 10 degrees… it’s more silly here, i got sick for a whole year about 2-3 years ago. Hope your son is doing better!

I wish my kids WOULD talk to me like Fuji did. It would have to BE something and yes we know what you mean lol. My ‘friend’s’ daugther is only 5 and be calling her a bitch and shit. She tries to ‘discipline’ her, but I dont see no point when her and her aunt is sitting up there teaching that girl stuff like that. Smh. Why teach her and then try and beat her when she says it? Ass backwards.

I stay in southern GA and the weather is like that here too. It gets you hella annoyed. I just try not to take my kids outside…ONLY bc I have no where to get yet..that’ll change when I go back to work on Sat.

I miss the wonder years too. Back when you used to wonder how it felt to be grown up, out the house, having your own freedom. Back when people used to do everything for you and you had no worries in the world, but what to wear to school the next day. Sighs. Eff what Kanye said..that was The Goodlife.

Over here in Toronto, Canada its crazy as well. its been raining, then it was warm then earlier today there was snow on the ground..

Well yeah. we all have been in that position. I guess I can say i now understood what they meant “don’t be too quick to grow up”

He did what? Man coming from where i’m from he would be in serious trouble. at 4 they aren’t to young to disciplined. Oh my 4 yr old nephew don’t even try to say anything like that in fact “mommy and daddy” been doing a great job…

The weather down here in good ol’ Florida is wacky too. Two weeks ago it’d be realll cold one day and then hot the other. It normalized for the past week or so, but then today it was back down to 50 degrees (which probably isn’t cold for you at all). It’s really aggravating.

& if that was my son he would have probably been smacked down. He deserves a spanking.

LOL. I know exactly what you’re talking about. The same thing is going on here, at one point it was like 75 degrees fahrenheit in the middle of December! My god, I’m sorry about your son being sick like that! Wacky weather will do that to you I guess. It’s good to yeah that he’s alright now though ^^. I what you mean about these kids these days but it all boils down to the parent not doing a good job on raising their child.

I totally what you mean about the weather. I live in Georgia, and the weather is so unpredictable, it makes no sense. Like, if you ask me, there is no point to a forecast, because chances are it’s wrong, and it usually is. I hope your son doesen’t have more weekends like the previous one. I’m with you, let’s blame it on the BAD WEATHER. :)

Also, gosh-I’m a teenager, and you are so right of how bad most are. I mean, my friends are the oerfect example of which you described. I’m fortunate enough to have a family who cared enough to raise me correctly giving me the proper discipline so that I don’t be labeled as a devil child. I give respect the way it’s given to me, and treat people like I’d want to be treated.

Disciplined? No he would have gotten his little behind MURDERED! :!: Kids today need to be threatened with guns. I know all my mom had to do was give me a look and I dared not to defy her. These kids will give the look back and be like and what? I know in high school someone brought they child to school and he was like “I’ma blow this motherfucka up!” ..boo you 3. We was all shocked. And my step sister kids be beating on me and calling me hos..are you serious? I trip them every chance I get.

I’m hating the weather myself. Here, it’s really windy then it snows, then it gets warm or rainy. Its really annoying. :depressed:
Kids need more discipline. Had that been my child, he’d get that butt torn up. And the beatings won’t stop until he gets it through his mind that he wouldn’t want it to happening again.

Kids today (in general) are awful. I really can’t stand them. My older sister and I were standing in line for the movies and next to us were these annoying and rude 12-year-olds. I asked her if I ever was like that and she said no. I can’t even imagine being like them. What’s wrong with this world? When I have kids someday, I’m going to raise them better than that! It annoys me that people who want to adopt have to be checked if they are going to be good parents, yet every idiot can have babies. See also Spears, Britney.

First of all, sorry to hear of your child being sick. :( When I used to be kid, I caught a lot of random diseases and it was nothing nice. I’m not so resistant to them anymore and I think it’s due to my childhood experience. So, try to keep your little one warm and not outside for a long time. :)

Current weather does suck, it’s something I hate about winter/spring time. It’s always moody and you can never know if you don’t catch a rain or thunderstorm when outside. The only steady season is summer for me. Unless it rains all the time, lol.

I remember when in kindergarten I used to wish about being older. It was my biggest dream ever - to be at least 16-17 and do so many forbidden things, ha ha. Now I see how wrong I was. Childhood is something unforgettable. You are right about this being ironic, but it’s something normal at once.

As about the grandpa situation. All grandparents are nice, calm, friendly, understandable etc. It’s obvious you can rely on your granny more than on your parents, because you nearly never argue with her. There is some magic relation I will never understand, lol. It’s wrong that the grandpa didn’t react on the swear. It’s a silent agreement on the bad behavior. All in all, grandparents should partly contribute to theirs grandchildren education. I sometimes think they are lazy - think that they have already brought their children and now it’s turn for them to bring theirs.

Here in Michigan the weather is always changing. One minute is snowing the next all the snow is gone and it’s around 50 degrees . Yes children these days are out of control, I only blame the parents. At times I wish I was older to due certain things, then again I’m cool with being my age and growing up at a steady pace. Hope your child gets better and handles the weather situation okay.

I hope your baby is feeling better and the weather subsides. Kids are horrible these days. Seems as generations go by, they do not get better. i remember when I was in high school and people would yell/talk back to their parents, it would make me so angry that i would yell at my friends. lol It’s crazy how things change though. Parents don’t seem to take much disciplinary actions.

Being down in Delaware, I’m not far from you — only about 40 minutes, so obviously it’s not much different down here. The weather has been completey ridiculous. And you’re right, the weather can have a huge impact on your health. I’ve been feeling quite under the weather myself.

Sounds like things have been rough for your son. Hope he recovers well. =)

Aww I’m sorry to hear about your son. He is too cute to be sick! lol I hope he feels better though. This crazy weather is most likely the result of global warming. Its pretty sad.

But yes, bad children irk my nerves. I cannot be around them for long periods of time or I get seriously irritable. As for that little bad ass that told his grandfather to stfu..there would have been a major 187 in my house. I can’t stand disrespectful brats. That is why I am going to have a heavy hand when necessary with my future children.
