I was just watching a movie called Slow Burn about two nights ago. I had seen it already but recently found the DVD for it in my collection and decided to watch it again. To be quite honest, it was a great movie and I must say that LL Cool J played one hell of a role in this movie. Some of the issues this movie tackled were betrayal and the need for one to feel like he/she has to be someone different to be accepted or get to certain places in life.
Jolene Blalock plays the role of an Assistant District Attorney who fools everyone she knows into thinking she was a black woman. Such a task it was, she succeeded in doing so. She used this betrayal as a way to get what she wanted/needed and to also help a crime lord rise to the top. Ray Liotta plays one of her many lovers in this movie and he is unaware of her criminal activities. I will say one thing, though, this movie had one hell of a twist to it and I’m more than sure you all will be able to enjoy it.
Here is the trailer:

Todd and I are going to Blockbuster tonight and this might be a film I’ll pick :) I love Ray Liota and LL Cool J!
This definitely looks like my type of film. I was shocked to see real photos of the actress and the photos of her portrayal in the Slow Burn. She definitely could’ve fooled me.

Aw! Thanks for doing the tag 10 random questions. Im also 24yrs old without a current driver’s license… thats as to why Im now trying to find a car to get so I can learn on it. Im not afraid of them or didn’t really have any reason to why I dont have a license currently other than I havent bothered with it yet. But its getting to points now where I have to walk a lot and go to so many places and I need a car. It will also mean I can take off whenever I’d like and go away on road trips and see my sister at her place whenever. I like that freedom idea.
Yeah, I agree. I like a lot of Mariahs older music, the new stuff is odd, well it just isnt the same. Touch My Body was a bit pointless or silly… it doesnt have a real meaning, and I knew she just wanted to have fun with this new album but I thought it’d have more meaningful songs… Bye Bye is better but its done in a pop song sort of way, not really a ballad. :/ Oh wells.
Ooh I have never seen that film, I will have to check it out. Ray Liotta is a really good actor and I saw LL Cool J in Deliver Us From Eva, he was really good in it, so was Gabrielle. I recently saw Ironman and Street Kings… both were really good. Street Kings was really good but it reminded me of Crash a lot. Like a lot. If you see if, you’ll know what I mean. Especially the cop storyline.
I hope you had a good weekend. :)
