The Reality

My dreams manifested into reality by unseen insanities.
Clouds & stars invade this dream-like state of mind.
I’m a child again, no longer wild with kin.
Innocence flows through my soul, I’m not responsible for my actions,
insanity’s taken me back and no complaints.
Maybe sometimes it’s better to be learned
and earn the right to be free, you see.
Can you imagine all that has happened back in reality?
I’m enjoying the child in me.
Homework, but no home work.
The sweet taste of candy drives me bezerk.
My loving, beautiful mother, unlike no other,
is alive again, but she has to strive again.
This saddens me, my conscience is mad at me.
To allow her to endure this struggle again would be selfish.
I’d rather be breathless or helpless.
I must save her, with my brave heart.
I’m thinking back to the day at the graveyard.
It hadn’t hit me quite yet, I regret
being a rebel, I would never settle
for the advices she’d give me.
All of the vices that hit me, only hurt me in the long run.
I listened to all of the wrong ones, instead of the strong one.
Conclusion, I’m no longer confused, and
this woman is the encouragement that gives my body its nourishment.
Everyday is a struggle, a fight for survival
and the arrival of a new day, only to start over again.
Oh God, when will it end?
A lucky woman, my mother, once smothered
in struggle and hustle.
Now she is free, waiting on me to come meet her at the gates.
I can’t wait.

You know I like reading your poetry, this shit is poppin’ right here. It’s real clear to see how you are ambiguous in this poem like you want to be a child again with the “sweet taste of candy” line but also you’re being selfless in this dream about being young with the “to allow her to endure this struggle again would be selfish’ line. write more.
